Remarks

Until 2010, the mid-year population was processed by means of the demographic balancing method as of 1 July of the reference year. Since 2011, the mid-year population is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the initial (1 January) and final (31 December) stocks of the population in the reference year. This change results from the practice in the European area.
