The Statistical Yearbook of science and technology 2025 is part of the publication system of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic. It contains selected indicators on Research and Development (R&D) in the Slovak Republic for the past five years compiled from the results of the Annual Report on Research and Development. In 2002, the statistics on Human Resources in Science and Technology (HRST) were introduced in the Slovak Republic according to the Canberra methodology of the OECD 1995 manual. It is compiled from the results of the Labour force sample survey.
The Yearbook is divided into two chapters. Each chapter comprises methodological notes of particular indicators. The first chapter presents data on the status, structure and development of R&D personnel, R&D expenditures and sources of funds for R&D according to the methodology of the Frascati manual, OECD 2015, for the years 2021 − 2025. The second chapter contains data on the stocks of HRST for the years 2022 − 2026.
Data are in organisational structure, prices and methodology of the current year. Differences in sums result from rounding the data.
