Electronic publication provides an extensive complete set of regional data for the year 2023 broken down by 4 areas, 8 regions and, where available, by 79 districts of Slovakia according to the NUTS classification (classification of territorial units for statistical purposes).

The publication offers the user an overview of regional indicators on demographic processes, the labour market, household income and expenditure in 23 thematic chapters and 115 tables. The comprehensive overview also includes data on the performance of the economy in individual regions, as well as more detailed structures for individual sectors such as industry, construction, agriculture, trade, transportation and tourism. The publication also includes an overview of the regional development of crime and accidents, the environment and science and research. It also presents a selection of indicators for 141 cities of the SR.

The yearbook completes the data for the years 2019 to 2023, while the data was already published in the public DATAcube. database in previous months, in publications issued by the Office or provided by administrative sources. The user has the opportunity to find more detailed information on selected areas via active links connecting the tables to the database. The development of selected indicators in the social and economic area of Slovakia's regions and their structure are also visualized in 112 graphs.

This yearbook was compiled in order to provide a comprehensive work on the SR regions, while it is a free continuation of the publication Statistical Yearbook of the Regions of Slovakia, which was published by the Statistical Office of the SR until 2022. The information from the publication is used for the creation of analyses, research papers and articles for experts and the lay public about economic and social development in individual regions.
