The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic will publish on Thursday, 20 October 2022 at 9 a.m. on the Office´s portal the Report of Government deficits and debt levels by the Slovak Republic reported to the European Commission (Eurostat) before 1 October 2022 for the years 2018 - 2022. The current report will present updated estimate of deficit and debt data for 2021, as well as updated data from 2018.

The Slovak Republic is obliged to report data on debt and deficit for the general government sector for assessment of the so-called Maastricht criteria. Under this rule, a report with data is sent to Eurostat on a regular basis, twice a year, always on 1 April and updated data on 1 October of the calendar year.
