Turnover increased, month-on-month, in accommodation by 16,6 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles by 8,5 %, wholesale by 1,4 %, retail trade by 0,8 % and in food and beverage service activities by 0,2 %.
Development in January 2019 compared with January 2018
Turnover in sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased, year-on-year, by 4,9 % affected by higher turnover in sale of motor vehicles by 4,4 % and in sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories by 29,6 %. Turnover dropped in repair and maintenance of motor vehicles by 6,5 %.
Compared with January 2018, turnover in wholesale rose by 7,2 %, in total. The development was affected by higher turnover mostly in non-specialized wholesale by 21,5 %, wholesale of household goods by 16,5 % and in wholesale on a fee or contract basis by 15,5 %. Turnover decreased mostly in other specialized wholesale by 1,9 %.
Turnover in retail trade increased by 4,5 %. The increase was recorded in most activities, of which the most significant one in retail trade in non-specialized stores by 7,7 %, retail trade not in stores, stalls and markets by 18,9 % and in retail trade of automotive fuels in specialized stores by 8 %. Lower turnover were recorded, year-on-year, in retail trade of other goods in specialized stores by 6 % and in retail trade of other goods for household in specialized stores by 6,9 %.
Turnover in accommodation decreased by 6 % in comparison with the corresponding period last year.
Turnover in food and beverage service activities was higher by 5,9 %.
