Employment
In January 2019 compared with January 2018, the employment increased in accommodation by 8 %, construction by 7,4 %, selected market services by 6,9 %, food and beverage service activities by 5,2 %, information and communication by 4,6 %, in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 4,4 %, transportation and storage by 3,8 % and in industry by 0,8 %. It dropped in retail trade by 1,4 % and in wholesale by 1 %.
Average monthly wage
In January 2019 compared with January 2018, the average nominal monthly wage increased in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 16,3 % (amounted to EUR 1 089), in wholesale by 15,7 % (EUR 1 054), accommodation by 15,7 % (EUR 774), food and beverage service activities by 9,9 % (EUR 501), transportation and storage by 9,3 % (EUR 992), industry by 7,9 % (EUR 1 123), retail trade by 7,1 % (EUR 739), selected market services by 6,6 % (EUR 976), construction by 5,2 % (EUR 710), information and communication by 2,3 % (EUR 1 902).
In January 2019, the average real monthly wage grew, year-on-year, in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 13,8 %, wholesale and accommodation equally by 13,2 %, food and beverage service activities by 7,5 %, transportation and storage by 6,9 %, industry by 5,6 %, retail trade by 4,8 %, selected market services by 4,3 %, construction by 2,9 % and in information and communication by 0,1 %.
