In January 2019 compared with January 2018, construction production decreased by 0,8 % to EUR 282,2 million. After seasonal adjustment, it was lower by 1,2 % compared with December 2018.
In January 2019 compared with January 2018, output realized by domestic construction companies decreased by 1,1 % to EUR 264,3 million. Its share on the total construction output decreased, year-on-year, by 0,3 p.p. to 93,7 %. The domestic output development was affected by decrease of works in new construction, renewals and enhancements by 2,1 % and in repairs and maintenance works by 0,9 %. In the structure of the domestic output, the share of new construction, renewals and enhancements represented 69,2 % (by 0,6 p.p. less than in January 2018). The share of repairs and maintenance works represented 28,8 %. In terms of output specification, the volume of works on civil engineering works decreased by 4,5 % and works on construction of buildings by 0,2 %. Within domestic output, construction of buildings was represented by 79 % and civil engineering works accounted for 21 %.
Non-domestic construction output carried out by construction companies increased, year-on-year, by 4,7 %. Its share represented 6,3 % of the total output volume.
