As of December 31, 2018 the Slovak Republic had 5,450,421 inhabitants.
In the year 2018 there were 57,639 live births and 54,293 deaths in the SR.
The natural increase reached the value 3,346 persons.
The net foreign migration reached 3,955 persons (7,253 immigrants and 3,298 emigrants).
The total increase of population was 7,301 persons.
