Orders in industry accelerated its pace of decline

In June 2024, the value of new orders in industry¹⁾ decreased by 8.8% year-on-year and reached a volume of EUR 5.59 billion. After seasonal adjustment, new orders decreased by 1.6% month-on-month²⁾.

The lower volumes of June´s orders in 10 of the 12 monthly monitored industrial sectors was reflected in the current acceleration of the pace of year-on-year declines.

In June 2024, orders decreased most significantly year-on-year in manufacture of other transport equipment, manufacture of apparel and in manufacture of machinery and equipment, n.e.c. Orders increased year-on-year only in manufacture of textiles and in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products.
