Turnover in internal trade increased, month-on-month, in wholesale by 4,5 %, in sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles by 2,9 % and in retail trade by 1,1 %. It dropped in accommodation by 4 % and in food and beverage service activities by 1,9 %.
Development in October 2018 compared with October 2017
In October 2018, turnover in sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased, year-on-year, by 0,8 % as a result of higher turnover in sale of motor vehicles by 1,9 % and in sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories by 8,6 %. Turnover decreased, year-on-year, in repair and maintenance of motor vehicles by 8,3 %.
Compared with October 2017, turnover in wholesale grew by 12,6 %, in total, as a result of the increase in all of its activities. The development was affected by higher turnover mostly in other specialized wholesale by 13,2 %, in non-specialized wholesale by 23,4 % and in wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco by 11,3 %.
Turnover in retail trade increased, year-on-year, by 6 %. The most significant growth was registered in retail trade of other goods in specialized stores by 16,2 %, retail trade not in stores, stalls and markets by 17,7 % and in retail trade of automotive fuels in specialized stores by 6,7 %. Lower turnover was recorded mostly in retail trade of non-specialized stores by 2,3 %.
Turnover in accommodation decreased by 2 % in comparison with October 2017.
Turnover in food and beverage service activities was higher by 1,7 %.
Development over the first ten months of 2018 compared with the corresponding period of 2017
Turnover in sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased by 5,9 % over the first ten months of 2018. The development was affected by turnover increase in sale of motor vehicles by 6,7 %, sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories by 14,3 % and in repair and maintenance of motor vehicles by 1,3 %.
Turnover in wholesale increased by 7,9 % as a result of growth in almost all activities. It rose most significantly in other specialized wholesale by 14 %, Sin wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco by 9,4 % and in non-specialized wholesale by 6,2 %. Turnover decreased only in wholesale with agricultural raw materials and live animals by 1,5 %.
Turnover in retail trade increased, year-on-year, by 3,9 %. This growth was affected by higher turnover mainly in retail trade of other goods in specialized stores by 14,1 %, retail trade not in stores, stalls or markets by 14,8 % and in retail trade of automotive fuel in specialized stores by 10,1 %. Turnover dropped in retail trade in non-specialized stores by 4 % and in retail trade of ICT equipment by 16,6 %.
Turnover in accommodation increased by 11,4 %.
Turnover in food and beverage service activities rose by 6,8 %.
