In January 2013, construction output decreased, year-on-year, by 14,1 % to EUR 206,9 million. After seasonal adjustment, it decreased by 3,3 %, compared with December 2012.

Output realized by domestic construction companies fell by 15,7 % to EUR 195,7 million, compared with January 2012. Its share of the whole construction output dropped by 1,8 p.p. to 94,6 %. The development of the domestic output was affected by considerable decrease in new construction, renewals and enhancements by 24,1 %.The volume of repair and maintenance works rose by 12 %. New construction, renewals and enhancements represented 69 % of the structure of the domestic output (by 7,6 p.p. less than in January 2012). The share of repair and maintenance works increased by 7,3 p.p. to 29,8 %. In terms of output specification, the volume of civil engineering works decreased by 51 % and construction of buildings by 6,5 %. Construction of buildings represented 87,9 % of the domestic output, civil engineering accounted for 12,1 %.

Non-domestic construction output realized by construction companies rose by 29 %, year-on-year. Its share was 5,4 % of the total output.
