In December 2018 compared with December 2017, the employment increased in selected market services by 6,8 %, information and communication by 6,5 %, construction by 6,3 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles by 6,2 %, food and beverage service activities by 5,7 %, transportation and storage by 4,5 %, accommodation by 4,1 %, retail trade by 2,3 % and in industry by 1,9 %. It decreased in wholesale by 1,3 %.

In 2018 compared with 2017, the employment increased, on average, in information and communication by 6,9 %, transportation and storage and in sale and repair of motor vehicles equally by 6,4 %, selected market services by 6,2 %, food and beverage service activities by 5,9 %, accommodation by 5,7 %, construction and retail trade equally by 3,3 % and in industry by 2,9 %. It decreased in wholesale by 0,1 %.

Average monthly wage

In December 2018 compared with December 2017, the average nominal monthly wage increased in food and beverage service activities by 14,3 % (amounted to EUR 512), accommodation by 10,3 % (EUR 791), information and communication by 9,6 % (EUR 2 006), selected market services by 8,3 % (EUR 1075), construction by 7,5 % (EUR 756), wholesale by 6 % (EUR 1073), retail trade by 5,7 % (EUR 759), industry by 4,9 % (EUR 1162) and in transportation and storage by 4 % (EUR 1039). It decreased in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 3,5 % (EUR 1090).

In December 2018, the average real monthly wage increased, year-on-year, in food and beverage service activities by 12,4 %, accommodation by 8,4 %, information and communication by 7,6 %, selected market services by 6,3 %, construction by 5,5 %, wholesale by 4,1 %, retail trade by 3,8 %, industry by 2,9 % and in transportation and storage by 2,1 %. It decreased in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 5,4 %.

In 2018 compared 2017, the wage increased in information and communication by 9,7 % (amounted to EUR 1 897), food and beverage service activities by 9,5 % (EUR 473), accommodation by 8,3 % (EUR 734), retail trade by 7,2 % (EUR 726), wholesale by 7,1 % (EUR 979), industry by 6,7 % (EUR 1 116), construction by 6,4 % (EUR 713), selected market services by 5,9 % (EUR 956), transportation and storage by 5 % (EUR 962) and in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 2,1 % (EUR 1003).

The real monthly wage increased, year-on-year, in information and communication and in food and beverage service activities equally by 7 %, accommodation by 5,8 %, retail trade by 4,7 %, wholesale by 4,6 %, industry by 4,1 %, construction by 3,8 %, selected market services by 3,3 %, transportation and storage by 2,4 %. It decreased in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 0,4 %.
