The average nominal monthly wage1) in January 2025 rose year-on-year in all 10 sectors monitored monthly. The growth rate ranged from 4.2% in selected market services to 13.4% in sale and repair of motor vehicles. Real growth (after adjusting for the effect of inflation) ranged from 0.3% in selected market services to 9.1% in sale and repair of motor vehicles. Higher real growth in the interval from 4.4% to 5.6% was reflected in a total of 4 sectors - in construction, in accommodation, also in retail trade, as well as in food and beverage service activities.
Employment development
Employment2) in January 2025 was higher year-on-year in 4 of the 10 sectors monitored monthly, and decreased in 6 sectors. The development of the number of the employed persons ranged from -3.7% in sale and repair of motor vehicles to +2.3% in accommodation.
