In October, pensioners had higher prices by 2.9% than a year ago.
Inflation- price growth in October 2024 in Slovakia, was published by the Statistical Office of the SR on November 15. On a regular monthly basis, at a later date, it also publishes detailed structures of the price growth rate for selected social groups.
In October, consumer prices in Slovakia rose by 3.1% year-on-year. In the households of employees, prices increased by 3.2% year-on-year, for low-income households, prices were higher than a year ago by up to 3.3%. Inflation in households of pensioners also had the lowest value of the three monitored social groups in October, at 2.9%.
In total for the first ten months of 2024, consumer prices in Slovakia increased by 2.7% year-on-year, in the households of employees by 2.8%, in low-income households by 2.7%, and in the households of pensioners by 2.1%.
