As of June 30, 2023 the Slovak Republic had 5,426,352 inhabitants.

In the second quarter of 2023, there were 12,073 live births and 12,490 deaths in the SR.

The natural decrease of population reached the value of  -417 persons.

The net foreign migration reached 164 persons (the number of immigrants was 1,164 and emigrants 1,000).

The total decrease of population was -253 persons in the second quarter of 2023.
