In September 2022, new orders in industry grew by almost a fifth compared to the last year

The value of new orders in industry increased by 19% year-on-year during the ninth month and reached a volume¹⁾ of EUR 5.6 billion. On a month-on-month basis, after taking seasonal effects into account, new orders in industry increased by 2.4% in September 2022²⁾.

New orders continued in double-digit year-on-year growth, while their volume increased in 7 out of 12 industrial sectors. Orders increased, year-on-year, the most in manufacture of motor vehicles, semi-trailers and trailers, manufacture of other transport equipment and manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products. Orders decreased, year-on-year, mainly in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products and in manufacture and processing of metals.
