Employment

In June 2019 compared with June 2018, the employment increased in accommodation by 12 %, construction by 8,1 %, food and beverage service activities by 7,8 %, selected market services by 6,2 %, transportation and storage by 5,7 % and information and communication by 5,5 %. It decreased in wholesale by 2 %, retail trade by 1,6 %, industry and in sale and repair of motor vehicles equally by 0,1 %.

Over the first half of 2019 compared with the same period of 2018, the employment increased, on average, in accommodation by 10,5 %, construction by 8,7 %, selected market services by 7,2 %, food and beverage service activities by 6,4 %, information and communication by 5,5 %, transportation and storage by 4,9 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles by 2,4 % and in industry by 0,4 %. It dropped in retail trade by 1,8 % and in wholesale by 1,7 %.

Average monthly wage

In June 2019 compared with June 2018, the average nominal monthly wage increased in food and beverage service activities by 10,4 % (amounted to EUR 518),  selected market services by 7,9 % (EUR 1 036), accommodation by 6,9 % (EUR 786), retail trade by 5,6 % (EUR 767), sale and repair of motor vehicles by 3,8 % (EUR 1 043), wholesale by 3,3 % (EUR 1 024), information and communication by 2,6 % (EUR 1 943), construction by 1,6 % (EUR 742) and in  transportation and storage by 1 % (EUR 1 011). It decreased only in industry by 1,1 % (EUR 1 125).  

In June 2019, the average real monthly wage grew, year-on-year, in food and beverage service activities by 7,6 %, selected market services by 5,2 %, accommodation by 4,2 %, retail trade by 2,9 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles by 1,2 % and in wholesale by 0,7 %. It decreased in industry by 3,6 %, transportation and storage by 1,6 % and in construction by 1 %. It remained unchanged in information and communication.

Over the first half of 2019, compared with the same period of 2018, the wage increased in food and beverage service activities by 10,2 % (amounted to EUR 507), selected market services by 8,3 % (EUR 1 002), transportation and storage by 8,2 % (EUR 1 006), wholesale by 7,9 % (EUR 1 023), accommodation by 7,9 % (EUR 761), retail trade by 6,1 % (EUR 752),   industry by 5,8 % (EUR 1147), sale and repair of motor vehicles by 5,2 % (EUR 1 038) construction by 5,1 % (EUR 724) and in information and communication by 4,5 % (EUR 1 982).

The real monthly wage increased, year-on-year, in food and beverage service activities by 7,5 %, selected market services by 5,7 %, transportation and storage by 5,6 %, wholesale and accommodation equally by 5,3 %, retail trade by 3,5 %, industry by 3,2 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles by 2,6 %, construction by 2,5 % and in information and communication by 2 %.
