In December, the consumer mood in Slovakia deteriorated again. The seasonally adjusted indicator of consumer confidence decreased by 1,4 points to -10,4. Respondents were more pessimistic in all indicator components, mainly in the expectations of the general economic situation, unemployment development and the saving perspectives of households and partly also the financial situation of households. The respondents were less optimistic by 6,7 points than in the corresponding period last year and the current result continues to exceed the long-term average.
Note: The values of the consumer confidence indicator range from -100 (responses of all respondents are maximally pessimistic) to 100 (responses of all respondents are maximally optimistic). Data are seasonally adjusted.
