The prices of agricultural products recorded the most significant decrease, for the first time also due to lower prices of animal products

Prices of agricultural products dropped by almost 30%, the most in the last five months. This was significantly due to not only the lower prices in crop production, but also by the lower prices of animal production for the first time this year. The prices of industrial producers rose year-on-year again after two months, mainly under the influence of a significant increase in energy prices by more than 25%.

Industrial producer prices for the domestic market were higher by 7.5% year-on-year in November 2023, but dropped by 2.5% month-on-month. Among the 16 monitored sectors, prices were lower year-on-year in 8, in the less important sectors. Year-on-year growth continued in important sectors such as manufacture of transport equipment by 4.9% and manufacture of rubber and plastic by 7.3%. In the energy sector, prices were higher by 25.5% year-on-year. Water supply recorded gradual price increases, in November the growth exceeded the double-digit limit of 10% for the second time. In total, for the first eleven months of 2023, industrial producer prices for the domestic market increased by 14.3%.

Industrial producers for the non-domestic market were higher by 0.4% year-on-year, and dropped by 0.3% month-on-month. In total for the first eleven months of 2023, the industrial producer prices for the non-domestic market were higher than a year ago by 3.8%.

Producer prices of agricultural products

In November, the prices of agricultural products were lower by 28.5% year-on-year. The prices of crop products were lower by 37.6% than in the corresponding period last year. The prices of animal products also dropped by 2.3%. Of crop products, the prices of cereals decreased by 45.1% and the prices of oilseeds and fruits by 35.1%. The prices of vegetables, fruits, nuts and spices increased by 26.7%. Of animal products, the prices of slaughter pigs increased by 18.1%. Cow's milk prices dropped by 12.9%. Since the beginning of the year, the prices of agricultural products decreased by an average of 10.1% due to lower prices of crop products by 22.1% and higher prices of animal products by 17.2%.

Producer prices in construction

In November, the prices of construction works were higher by 5.8% year-on-year, compared to October they increased by 0.3%. In total for the first eleven months of 2023, construction work was up 11.7% year-on-year.

In November, the prices of construction materials decreased by 1.7% than a year ago, compared to October 2023 they were lower by 0.1%. In total, since the beginning of the year, the prices of construction materials were higher by 3.8% year-on-year.
