Industrial orders increased by more than 4% at the beginning of the year

The value of new orders in industry¹⁾ increased by 4.3% year-on-year in January 2025 and reached a volume of EUR 5.19 billion. After seasonal adjustment, new orders in industry in January 2025 increased by 6.1%²⁾ compared to December 2024.

Year-on-year growth was observed in only 4 of the 12 monthly monitored industrial sectors in the first month of this year. Orders increased year-on-year in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, manufacture of motor vehicles, semi-trailers and trailers and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products. On the contrary, orders decreased year-on-year mainly in the manufacture of apparel, manufacture of basic metals and in manufacture of electrical equipment.
