New orders in industry dropped for the third month in a row, so far most significantly in March

New orders in industry (after seasonal adjustment) decreased month-on-month¹⁾  by 3.2% in March 2022.

At the year-on-year level, orders decreased by 9.5%, reaching the current volume²⁾  EUR 5.49 billion. Companies in manufacture of motor vehicles, metals, as well as computer products struggled with a drop in volume of more than 10%. On the other hand, companies in manufacture of other transport equipment (excluding the manufacture of motor vehicles) as well as in manufacture of clothing recorded a significantly higher volume of orders by more than 20% than a year ago.
