Prices in production area continue to be at high levels
Producer prices in several sectors of industry and also prices of agricultural products reached year-on-year highs, on the other hand, an increase in prices of construction works and materials slightly slowed down.
Industrial domestic producer prices rose by 42.9% year-on-year in July 2022. Prices in electricity and gas supply increased by 79.6% and in mining and quarrying by 32.2% compared with the previous year. In manufacturing, which include several key manufacture sectors, prices rose by 22.6% year-on-year.
Prices in the five strongest sectors by weight (ordered from the strongest descending) increased, year-on-year, as follows: in manufacture of transport equipment by 7.1%, in manufacture of metals and metal structures by 20%, in manufacture of food by 28,9 %, and in manufacture of rubber and plastic products by 14.4%, manufacture of petroleum products by 97.7%.
Industrial domestic producer prices rose by 2% month-on-month. Overall, since the beginning of the year, prices in this sector increased by 39.4% year-on-year. Prices of electricity and gas supply grew the most by 76.5%.
Industrial non-domestic producer prices increased by 21.6% year-on-year. Prices of energy were higher, especially prices of electricity and gas supply by 137.2% and water supply and waste management by 97.4%.
In a month-on-month comparison, industrial non-domestic producer prices increased by 0.2%. Prices of water supply and waste management rose by 1.9%, manufacturing by 0.3% and mining and quarrying by 0.2%. Prices of electricity and gas supply fell by 0.5%.
In summary, for the first seven months of 2022, industrial non-domestic producer prices rose by 22.4% compared with the previous year. Prices of water supply and waste management increased most dynamically by 140.6% and electricity and gas supply by 135.9%.
Prices of agricultural products
In July, prices of agricultural products increased by 49.5% year-on-year. Compared to July 2021, prices of crop products increased by 57%, prices of animal products by 21.5%. As for the crop products, prices of cereals grew by 73% and prices of oleaginous fruits and seeds by 62.1%. As for the animal products, prices of raw cow milk rose by 26.5%.
Since the beginning of the year, prices of agricultural products rose by 32.4% on average. This increase was influenced by higher prices of crop products by 47.2% and animal products by 14.4%.
Prices of construction works and materials
Prices of construction works increased by 14.4% year-on-year, compared to June 2022 they were more expensive by 0.3%. In summary, for the first seven months of 2022, a rise in prices of construction work reached 17.7%.
Prices of construction materials increased by 24.1% year-on-year, compared to June 2022 they were lower by 0.4%. In summary, since the beginning of the year, a year-on-year growth reached 27.4%.
