In November, orders in industry started to fall
In November 2023, the value of new orders in industry decreased year-on-year by 7.3% and reached a volume1) of EUR 5.44 billion. After taking seasonal effects into account, new orders decreased month-on-month by 15%.2)
New orders in industry started to decline in November after three months of a year-on-year growth. The volume declined in half of the 12 monitored sectors of industry.
Orders significantly decreased year-on-year mostly in manufacture of electrical equipment, manufacture of motor vehicles, semi-trailers and trailers, and in manufacture of textiles. Orders increased year-on-year the most in manufacture of paper and paper products, manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, and in manufacture of metals.
