Output prices in industry slowed their growth in November to the level of the end of the first quarter
An increase in industrial producer prices for the domestic market slowed down significant-ly, also due to current cheapening of energy. Prices of construction materials continued to reduce a growth rate and reached below 15%.
Industrial producer prices for the domestic market rose by 38.1% year-on-year in November 2022. This was a significant slowdown in the dynamics of a price growth of producers, as the previous three months the price growth of producers exceeded the level of 50%. Industrial producer prices for the domestic market dropped by 11.4% month-on-month.
In November, the development was mainly influenced by a year-on-year price increase in electricity and gas supplies by almost 74% and in manufacture of petroleum products by 55%. Other important sectors recorded lower increases – manufacture of transport equipment by 9.4%, manufacture of food and beverage by 30%, manufacture of rubber and plastic products by almost 16%. Only also the important manufacture of metals and fabricated metal products kept prices at approximately last year's level, while the previous months also recorded year-on-year increases of almost a third.
In total, since the beginning of the year, industrial producer prices for the domestic market increased by 44.3% year-on-year.
Industrial producer prices for the non-domestic market rose by 14.3% year-on-year. In a month-on-month comparison, industrial producer prices for the non-domestic market decreased by 2.1%. In total, for the first eleven months of 2022, industrial producer prices for the non-domestic market increased by 21% compared with the same period of the last year.
Prices of agricultural products
Agricultural producers (manufacturers) sold crop products in November at prices that were by 41% higher year-on-year, while this growth was mainly affected by cereals, which were by 48% more expensive year-on-year. Animal products were by 35% more expensive compared to the last year's November, while they have been continuously increasing their growth dynamics since January of this year. Among these products, prices of hen edible eggs increased the most by 68% and prices of raw cow milk by 44%.
In total, since the beginning of the year, prices of crop products increased by 46% and animal products by 19.5%.
Prices of construction works and materials
Prices of construction works increased by 19.1% year-on-year in November, in total, for the first eleven months of 2022, construction works increased by almost 18%.
Prices of construction materials rose by 13% year-on-year, but they slightly decreased compared to October 2022. In total, since the beginning of the year, a growth was almost 24%.
