Employment

In October 2019 compared with October 2018, the employment increased in accommodation by 16,9 %, food and beverage service activities by 9,9 %, information and communication by 6 %,  selected market services by 3,9 %, construction and transportation and storage equally by 3,8 %. It decreased in wholesale by 2,8 %, retail trade by 2,5 %, industry by 1,3 % and in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 0,7 %.

Over the first ten months of 2019 compared with the same period of 2018, the employment increased, on average, in accommodation by 12,9 %, construction by 7,2 %, selected market services and in food and beverage service activities equally by 6,5 %, information and communication by 5,6 %, transportation and storage by 4,9 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles by 1,3 % and in industry by 0,1 %. It dropped in wholesale by 2,2 % and in retail trade by 2 %.

Average monthly wage

In October 2019 compared with October 2018, the average nominal monthly wage increased in food and beverage service activities by 8,1 % (amounted to EUR 520),  transportation and storage by 6,8 % (EUR 1 035), sale and repair of motor vehicles by 5,8 % (EUR 1 047), selected market services by 5,8 % (EUR 1 012), accommodation by 5,7 % (EUR 779), construction by 5,5 % (EUR 769), wholesale by 4,6 % (EUR 1 026), retail trade by 4,6 % (EUR 776), in information and communication by 3,2 % (EUR 1 855) and in industry by 1,3 % (EUR 1 132),.

In October 2019, the average real monthly wage grew, year-on-year, in food and beverage service activities by 5,3 %, transportation and storage by 4 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles and in selected market services equally by 3 %, accommodation by 2,9 %, construction by 2,7 %, wholesale and retail trade equally by 1,9 % and in information and communication by 0,5 %. It decreased in industry by 1,4 %.

Over the first ten months of 2019, compared with the same period of 2018, the wage increased in food and beverage service activities by 10,1 % (amounted to EUR 514), selected market services by 7,6 % (EUR 1 007), transportation and storage by 7,4 % (EUR 1 013), wholesale by 7,2 % (EUR 1 023), accommodation by 7,2 % (EUR 774), retail trade by 5,8 % (EUR 760), sale and repair of motor vehicles by 5,4 % (EUR 1 039), construction by 4,8 % (EUR 736),  industry by 4,7 % (EUR 1 143), and in information and communication by 4,2 % (EUR 1 944).

The real monthly wage increased, year-on-year, in food and beverage service activities by 7,3 %, selected market services by 4,9 %, transportation and storage by 4,7 %, wholesale by 4,5 %, accommodation by 4,5 %, retail trade by 3,1 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles by 2,7 %, construction by 2,1 %,  industry by 2 % and in information and communication by 1,6 %.
