In November compared with October consumer prices increased by 0,2 % in total. Prices increased in the divisions of recreation and culture by 0,5 %; furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance; transport equally by 0,4 %; clothing and footwear; restaurants and hotels equally by 0,2 %; alcoholic beverages and tobacco; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels equally by 0,1 %. Prices of health decreased by 0,1 %. Prices in the divisions of food and non-alcoholic beverages; communication; education; miscellaneous goods and services remained at the level of the previous month.
A rise of food prices by 0,2 % was affected by higher prices of vegetables (including potatoes) by 1,9 %; fish by 1,1 %; meat; milk, cheese and eggs equally by 0,8 %; bread and cereals by 0,5 %; sugar, jam, honey, syrups, chocolates and confectionary by 0,3 %. Prices of fruit dropped by 4,7 %; oils and fats by 2 %. Prices of non-alcoholic beverages decreased by 1,4 % (mineral waters, non-alcoholic beverages and juices by 1,8 %; coffee, tea and cocoa by 0,8 %).
Higher prices of vegetables were caused by a price increase of pepper by 27,1 %, salad cucumbers by 9,6 %, tomatoes by 7,5 %, garlic by 4,4 %. Prices of parsley decreased by 14,8 %, onion by 11,1 %, celery by 6,8 %, potatoes by 3,7 %, carrot by 3,6 %, white cabbage by 2,1 %, cauliflower by 0,4 %. A rise in prices of meat was affected by higher prices of sausages by 1,7 %, pork meat by 1,4 %. Prices of poultry dropped by 2 %, beef meat by 0,6 %.
Lower prices of fruit were caused by cut in prices of tangerines by 24,4 %, oranges by 9,6 %, kiwi by 3,4 %, bananas by 2,7 %, lemons by 1,4 %. Prices of table grapes rose by 8,3 %, apples by 0,9 %.
Higher prices in the division of alcoholic beverages and tobacco were caused by a rise in prices of alcoholic beverages by 0,1 % (prices of spirits increased by 0,3 %, wine dropped by 0,2 %, prices of beer decreased by 0,1 %). Prices of tobacco remained unchanged.
Higher prices in the division of clothing and footwear were affected by an increase in prices of footwear by 0,3 %; clothing by 0,1 %.
Higher prices in the division of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels were affected by a price increase of solid fuels by 1,9 %; materials for maintenance and repair of the dwelling; services for regular maintenance and repair of the dwelling equally by 0,3 %; imputed rentals of owner-occupiers by 0,1 %. Prices of actual rentals paid by tenants; water supply; refuse collection; sewage collection; other services related to the dwelling; electricity; gas; heat energy were at the level of October.
Higher prices in the division of furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance were affected by a rise in prices of goods and services for routine household maintenance by 1,2 %; glassware, tableware and household utensils by 0,4 %; furniture and furnishings, carpets and other floor coverings by 0,2 %. Prices of household textiles decreased by 0,3 %; household appliances by 0,2 %. Prices of tools and equipment for house and garden remained unchanged.
A decrease in prices in the health division was influenced by lower prices of medical products, medical appliances and equipment by 0,1 % (prices of pharmaceutical products decreased by 0,1 %, prices of other medical products, therapeutic appliances and equipment rose equally by 0,2 %). Prices of outpatient services increased by 0,2 % (prices of dental services, middle medical staff services – thermal bath equally by 0,2 %, prices of medical services remained unchanged). Prices of hospital services remained unchanged.
A price growth in transport was caused by higher prices of transport service activities by 1,5 % (passenger transport by air by 16,3 %, prices of passenger transport by road, other purchase transport service activities remained unchanged); operation of personal transport equipment by 0,2 % (spare parts and accessories, maintenance and repair, other service activities relating to passenger transport equipment equally by 0,3 %, fuels and lubricants for personal transport by 0,1 %). Prices of purchase of transport equipment dropped by 0,7 % (prices of second-hand motor vehicles decreased by 2,2 %, prices of new motor vehicles rose by 0,8 %).
In the division of communication prices of postal and telephone services were unchanged. Prices of telephone equipment rose by 0,7 %.
Higher prices in the division of recreation and culture were affected by a rise in prices of newspapers, books and stationary by 1,5 %; other recreational items and equipment for gardens and pets by 0,6 %; recreational services and culture by 0,1 %. Prices of audiovisual and photographic technology; package holidays dropped equally by 0,1 %. Prices of other major durables for recreation and culture – musical instruments remained unchanged.
In the education division, prices of pre-primary; primary; secondary; tertiary; education and education not definable by the level remained at the level of the previous month.
A price increase in the division of restaurants and hotels was influenced by higher prices in catering services by 0,2 % (in restaurants, in cafés by 0,2 %, prices in canteens, payment for meals in canteens for pensioners remained unchanged); accommodation services by 0,1 %.
In the division of miscellaneous goods and services, prices of social protection (prices of payment in day care center rose by 0,1 %); insurance remained at the level of the previous month. Prices of personal effects n.e.c.; financial services n.e.c. rose equally by 0,4 % (financial bank services by 0,4 %); other services n.e.c. by 0,1 %. Prices of personal care decreased by 0,1 %.

Prices increased in the divisions of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 5,3 %; education by 4,5 %; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 3,7 %; miscellaneous goods and services by 3,5 %; alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 3 %; recreation and culture by 2,3 %; communication; furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance equally by 1,8 %; restaurants and hotels by 1,6 %; health by 1 %; transport by 0,8 %; clothing and footwear by 0,4 %.
On average, over the first eleven months of 2019 compared with the same period of 2018, consumer prices increased by 2,7 % in total.
