Employment

In November 2019 compared with November 2018, the employment increased in accommodation by 11,8 %, food and beverage service activities by 6,4 %, information and communication by 5,6 %,  transportation and storage by 4,5 %, selected market services by 4 %, construction by 3 % and in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 0,1 %. It decreased in wholesale by 2,9 %, retail trade by 2,7 % and in industry by 1,5 %.

 Over the first eleven months of 2019 compared with the same period of 2018, the employment increased, on average, in accommodation by 12,8 %, construction by 6,8 %, food and beverage service activities by 6,5 %, selected market services by 6,2 %, information and communication by 5,6 %, transportation and storage by 4,9 % and in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 1,2 %. It decreased in wholesale by 2,2 %, retail trade by 2,1 % and in industry by 0,1 %.

Average monthly wage

In November 2019 compared with November 2018, the average nominal monthly wage increased in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 10,2 % (amounted to EUR 1 198), food and beverage service activities by 8,8 % (EUR 533), accommodation by 8 % (EUR 867), selected market services by 7,4 % (EUR 1 121), retail trade by 4,6 % (EUR 811), wholesale by 4,4 % (EUR 1 184), transportation and storage by 4,2 % (EUR 1 130), in information and communication by 3,9 % (EUR 2 179), construction by 3,4 % (EUR 809) and in industry by 3,1 % (EUR 1 371).

In November 2019, the average real monthly wage grew, year-on-year, in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 7 %, food and beverage service activities by 5,6 %, accommodation by 4,9 %, selected market services by 4,3 %, retail trade by 1,6 %, wholesale by 1,4 %, transportation and storage by 1,2 %, information and communication by 0,9 %, construction by 0,4 % and in industry by 0,1 %.

Over the first eleven months of 2019, compared with the same period of 2018, the wage increased in food and beverage service activities by 10 % (amounted to EUR 516), selected market services by 7,6 % (EUR 1 017), accommodation by 7,4 % (EUR 783), transportation and storage by 7,1 % (EUR 1 024), wholesale by 6,8 % (EUR 1 037), sale and repair of motor vehicles by 5,9 % (EUR 1 054), retail trade by 5,8 % (EUR 765), construction by 4,8 % (EUR 743),  industry by 4,5 % (EUR 1 164), and in information and communication by 4,1 % (EUR 1 965).

The real monthly wage increased, year-on-year, in food and beverage service activities by 7,1 %, selected market services by 4,8 %, accommodation by 4,6 %,  transportation and storage by 4,3 %, wholesale by 4 %, sale and repair of motor vehicles by 3,1 %, retail trade by 3 %, construction by 2 %,  industry by 1,8 % and in information and communication by 1,4 %.
