Producers continued to sell vegetable products at a lower price than last year, the price growth of animal products dropped below 17%

The growth of industrial producer prices dropped below 7%. The decline in the dynamics of price growth of construction materials continued, their prices were higher by only less than 2% year-on-year.

Industrial producers prices for the domestic market were higher by 14.5% year-on-year in June 2023, and dropped by 0.5% month-on-month. As for the 16 monitored sectors of industry, prices increased year-on-year in 12, and prices decreased year-on-year in 4 sectors. Similarly to the previous month, overall result was influenced, mainly by a high increase in producer prices in the supply of electricity and gas by 40.4%. Domestic industrial production recorded a year-on-year decrease for the first time this year by 0.7%, due to a drop in prices in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products by almost 10%, in manufacture of petroleum products by 34.2% and in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 19.5%. Despite the overall decline in industrial production, the year-on-year increase in prices was maintained by important industries, namely manufacture of transport equipment by 6.2% and manufacture of rubber and plastic products by 16.5%. In total, for the first six months of 2023, industrial producer prices for the domestic market rose by 22.5%.

Industrial producer prices for the non-domestic market rose year-on-year by 2.1%, they decreased month-on-month by 0.6%. In total, for the first six months of 2023, industrial producer prices for the non-domestic market were higher by 7.1% than a year ago.

Producer prices of agricultural products

In June, prices of agricultural products were higher by 4.8% year-on-year. Prices of crop products were lower by 7.9% than in the corresponding period last year, prices of animal products increased by 16.6%. Of the crop products, cereal prices continued to be lower, falling by 31.3% compared to the corresponding period last year. On the contrary, the prices of potatoes increased by 55.1%, the prices of vegetables, fruits, nuts and spices increased by 27.3%. Of the animal products, the prices of hen edible eggs increased by 51.9%, raw cow milk by 12.5% ​​and the prices of slaughter pigs by 19.9%.

In total, since the beginning of the year, prices of agricultural products increased by an average of 16.5%, of which crop products by 4.8% and animal products by 27.9%.

Producer prices in construction

Prices of construction works increased year-on-year by 12.3%, they dropped month-on-month by 0.3%, in June. In total, for the first six months of 2023, construction work increased year-on-year by 14.7%.

Prices of construction materials increased year-on-year by 1.8%, compared to May 2023 they decreased by 0.8%. In total, since the beginning of the year, a year-on-year growth reached 7.3%.
