In accordance with the national policy of revisions, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic carried out this year's firstd revision of the data in the system of national accounts for the years 2020 to 2023.

Harmonized indices of consumer prices in March 2024
The annual inflation measured by the harmonized index of consumer prices according to the European harmonized methodology reached the value 2.7% in March 2024, which was 1.1 percentage points lower than in February 2024.

Nominal wages were higher year-on-year in all sectors, real wage growth was also recorded in 9 of them. Employment was higher year-on-year in 6 out of 10 monitored sectors, the numbers of employees was lower in industry, trade and transportation.

In February 2024, construction production almost reached the level of last year, mainly due to the slowing of the decline in the dominant inland new construction. Abroad production was successful again, it increased by up to 8%.
