In July 2019, the total export of goods reached the value of EUR 5 860,5 million with a 2,3 % year-on-year decrease. The total import of goods increased by 0,5 % to EUR 5 971,1 million. The foreign trade balance was in deficit in the value of EUR 110,6 million.
In January-July 2019, compared with the corresponding period last year, the total export of goods increased by 2,6 % to EUR 46 603,7 million and the total import by 4,3 % to EUR 45 378,3 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the amount of EUR 1 225,3 million.
In January-July 2019, compared with the corresponding period last year, export to the EU Member States increased by 0,4 % and it represented 84,1 % of the total export. Import from the EU Member States represented 68,7 % of the total import and it grew by 6 %, year-on-year.
In January-July 2019, compared with the corresponding period last year, export to the non-EU countries increased by 16,5 % and it represented 15,9 % of the total export. Import from the non-EU countries represented 31,3 % of the total import and it increased by 0,6 %, year-on-year.
In the foreign trade of the SR, the most traded SITC section was Machinery and transport equipment with a share of 62,2 % of the total export and 50,1 % of the total import.
In July 2019, after
seasonal adjustment, the total export of goods reached the value of EUR 6 579 million with a year-on-year drop by 3,7 %. The total import of goods decreased by 2,1 % to EUR 6 477,9 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the amount of EUR 101,1 million (by EUR 112,2 million lower than in
July 2018).
