In June 2019, the total export of goods reached the value of EUR 6 487,7 million with a 7,3 % year-on-year decrease. The total import of goods decreased by 4 % to EUR 6 284,1 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the value of EUR 203,6 million (by EUR 246,8 million lower than in the corresponding period last year).
In January-June 2019, compared with the corresponding period last year, the total export of goods increased by 3,3 % to EUR 40 725,7 million and the total import by 4,9 % to EUR 39 414,7 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the amount of EUR 1 311 million (by EUR 520,6 million lower than in the corresponding period last year).
In January-June 2019, compared with the corresponding period last year, export to the EU Member States increased by 1,1 % and it represented 84,1 % of the total export. Import from the EU Member States represented 68,7 % of the total import and it grew by 6,6 %, year-on-year.
In January-June 2019, compared with the corresponding period last year, export to the non-EU countries increased by 17,2 % and it represented 15,9 % of the total export. Import from the non-EU countries represented 31,3 % of the total import and it increased by 1,3 %, year-on-year.
In the foreign trade of the SR, the most traded SITC section was Machinery and transport equipment with a share of 62,8 % of the total export and 50,5 % of the total import.
In June 2019, after
seasonal adjustment, the total export of goods reached the value of EUR 6 733,9 million with a year-on-year growth by 1,9 %. The total import of goods increased by 1,9 % to EUR 6 667,5 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the amount of EUR 66,4 million (by EUR 254,4 million lower than in
May 2018).
