Average annual inflation rate (expressed by change in the average annual harmonised index of consumer prices for the last 12 months in comparison with the average for the preceding 12 months) reached in December 2019 the value 2,8 %.

In December 2019 the annual inflation rate measured by harmonized index of consumer prices reached the value 3,2 %.

The month on month harmonized index of consumer prices 99,9 % was influenced  mainly by  decrease and increase of prices in the following COICOP divisions: Transport (negative contribution -0,08 percentage point, of which transport services negative contribution -0,07 p. p.), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco negative contribution -0,04 p. p., of which Alcoholic beverages (negative contribution -0,04 p. p.), Food and non-alcoholic beverages (negative contribution -0,03 p. p., of which Non-alcoholic beverages negative contribution -0,02 p. p.), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (negative contribution -0,02 p. p., of which Goods and services for routine household maintenance negative contribution -0,01 p. p.), Restaurants and hotels (positive contribution 0,01 p. p., of which catering services positive contribution 0,01 p. p).
