Sample price indices are compiled on the basis of selected products covering chapters of the Harmonised System. Indices are constructed separately for total imports and exports for the world as a whole, for several reference periods and are compiled by the sections and chapters of the Harmonised System and by the divisions of the Statistical Classification of Products by Activity (CPA, version 2.1).
