Information and Consulting Services The Statistical Office provides information and information services in accordance with the Act of NC SR No. 540/2001 Coll. on State Statistics (pdf - 157 kB), as amended.
Information service of the SO SR and departments of information service of regional offices provide information services. There are following:
- Responds to telephone, e-mail and written requirements as for different data, to released information, methodical data surveys and the like.
- Consulting and advisory work - provision of information on available data and services, on possibilities and conditions of requirements and order ensuring, on used methodology, on content of individual indicators and the like
- Navigation of visitors of Internet page to required information
- Ensuring of information processing "tailored to needs" according to users requirements. It is provided on the base of written order (list of non-standard requirements) (pdf - 1,2 MB)
- Official extracts e.g. on inflation rate, average monthly wage of employee in the economy of the SR, average wages by individual regions, indices of construction works
- Ensuring of data retrievals from databases of the SO SR - e.g. production, demographic, foreign trade, from databases of surveys in households (Labour Force Sample Survey, Census of Population and Housing)
- Data retrievals from the Register of Economic Subjects - regional retrievals are ensured by workplaces providing information services at regional offices, for the SR retrievals are carried out by Infostat
- Ensuring of retrievals from particular elections and referendums
All data released at the Internet portal including the databases DATAcube. and STATdat. are free of charge. Data processed by individual requirements of customers (tailored to needs) and retrievals from non-public databases of the Office are available for payment according to the Price list of Information Services of the SO SR.

Part of the Information service of the SO SR is national Centre of European Statistical Data Support in the Slovak Republic, which provide users with support in searching data and information on the Eurostat´s website (more on European statistics - ESDS).
