Development of prices in production area in April 2022

Industrial producer prices grew at the strongest rate. They rose the most in electrici-ty and gas supplies, doubling for the domestic market and almost tripling for the non-domestic market.

The year-on-year harmonized inflation significantly increased, it reached the value 10.9% in April 2022.

Year-on-year inflation rose to 11.8 % in April 2022. There was a month-on-month growth by 1.5 %, mainly due to high prices of food, fuels, energy and transport services.

In March, output prices for the domestic market grew most significantly by 36.7% year-on-year, while prices of construction materials and components increased by 27.7%.

Harmonized indices of consumer prices in March 2022

According to the European harmonized methodology, consumer prices in March 2022 increased by 9.6% year-on-year, in February 2022 this value was 8.3%. The month-on-month HICP infla-tion reached 1.7%, while in March last year it was 0.6%.
