Inflation – consumer price indices for selected social groups in May 2024
Year-on-year price growth in pensioner households reached 1.5%, in low-income households 2.2%. Households of employees experienced a year-on-year price growth by 2.4%.

Harmonized indices of consumer prices in May 2024
The annual inflation measured by the harmonized index of consumer prices according to the European harmonized methodology reached the value 2.6 % in May 2024, which was 0.2 percentage points more than its value in April 2024.

Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose again in May 2024, both month-on-month and year-on-year. Compared to April, prices of catering and accommodation services were also higher.

Prices of market services were higher by 2% year-on-year at the beginning of 2024, which was the most significant slowdown in the growth dynamics over the past five quarters.
