With effect from 1 June 2026, the administration and operation of the information system of the Register of Legal Entities, Entrepreneurs and Public Authorities, including the Register of Ultimate Beneficial Owners, were transferred from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic to the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. This change implements the current amendment to Act No. 272/2015 Coll. on the RPO.

The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic will nevertheless continue to be the source, for RPO purposes, of statistical codes for principal economic activity according to the NACE Rev. 2.1 statistical classification and of sector classification codes according to the ESA 2010 methodology.

This change does not affect ordinary users of the RPO.
