Turnover in internal trade in July 2022
Turnover in retail trade increased by 1.2%, year-on-year in July 2022. A rise was mainly affected by hyper- and supermarkets and specialized stores of shoes, textiles and drugstores. The enormous inflation affected a decrease in turnover of fuels.

The second estimate reduced the yield of cereals by almost 2%, most significantly for oats. On the contrary, it exceeded the expected rape yield by more than 6%.

Economic sentiment is deteriorating, falling to a 17-month low in August. It decreased the most in services, but there was also a drop in construction, industry and trade. Consumers also showed lower optimism.

Economic sentiment indicator in August 2022
The overall economic mood in Slovakia has worsened significantly for the third consecutive month. The aggregate seasonally adjusted indicator of economic sentiment (ESI) decreased by 5.9 points month-on-month to a value of 90.9 points in August.

Development of prices in production area in July 2022
Producer prices in several sectors of industry and also prices of agricultural products reached year-on-year highs, on the other hand, an increase in prices of construction works and materials slightly slowed down.
