Culture statistics contain a broad range of information on activities in the area of culture relating to state, urban or municipal, and private cultural institutions.

Culture statistics covers data on subjects of professional performing arts (data up to 2020 were about theatres), orchestras, audio-visual works, radio and television broadcastings, public, central scientific and university libraries, periodical press, museums, galleries, observatories and planetariums, zoological and botanic garden, preservation of monuments, caves, selected indicators in the five most numerical churches, membership in public corporations, chambers and trade unions, and on income and expenditure in contributory cultural establishments.

The above statistical surveys are conducted annually and are concerned with the activities and chain of the state, regional, municipal and private cultural institutions.
